America Reads
America Reads is a literacy program aimed at helping students in grades K-3 improve their reading skills. This program works with elementary schools in New Hampshire and Vermont, located 10-45 minutes away from Dartmouth. This is a work study position, paying $11/hour to tutor under the federal "America Reads Initiative." The time commitment is anywhere from 2 - 10 hours a week, including paid travel time. The commitment must be taken seriously, as tutor's become an important part of the child's learning experience. There will be a mandatory information session to be announced. Please complete this application by 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 25th.

We are requiring that those who do have a valid driver's license begin the driver certification process as soon as possible if not already driver-approved. We will send you more information about how to become driver certified before the information session.
