What is a domain name change worth?
Domain name consultants often assert that their advice is very valuable. Let's compile some data on this, by looking at businesses or projects that changed their name, and what effect that had.

If you ever had a project where you changed the domain name, please tell us what quantifiable or other effects it had. The results will be published later and linked to on Hacker News, at least.

If your name change was the result of outgrowing your old name (for instance, you used to be LansingTractors.com and then you became LansingFarmEquipment.com) please do not fill out this form. We're looking for projects that were substantially similar, before and after the name change.
