<b>Just - in - Time Spring Preview- ELA and Math</b>

<b>Dates</b>:  Thursday, January 3 <b><u>and</u></b> Friday, January 4
 
<b>Time</b>:  8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (12 hours)
 
<b>Target Audiences</b>:
Grade 3 Math, Grade 4 ELA, Grade 6 Reading, Grade 7 Math, English I, English II, Algebra I

<b>Location</b>: Ryan Professional Development Center (4001 Hardy, 77009)
 
<b>Description</b>:  During the two-day training, participating teachers  will get a jump start in planning and preparing for the 3rd 9 weeks/4th 6 weeks of instruction.  The training will include “Looking Back” and “Planning for the Spring” components.  Below is more detail.
 
 
<b><u>LOOKING BACK</b></u>
·         Review and analyze the November District-Level Trend Assessment data
·         Model district-recommended intervention strategies
·         Plan interventions and the spiraling of low performing Student Expectations
 
 
<b><u>PLANNING FOR THE SPRING</b></u>
·         Break down hard-to-learn standards using the Lead4Ward Field Guides and plan future formative assessments
·         Preview the 3rd 9 weeks/4th 6 weeks Unit Planning Guides
·         Revisit the lesson cycle and model high-leverage instructional strategies
·         Develop specific lesson plans for the 3rd 9 weeks/4th 6 weeks

<b>Special Instructions</b>:  Teachers will receive eTrain credit and compensated $100 per day ($200 total)
