1.  Analyze the arrangement of the lesson plan.
When they were presenting I liked that their examples are not well known living species.  I loved the activity it was fun and entertaining.  I like the form of the lesson plan because it is familiar with the ones that we must do for ETSU.  The activity although fun could be set up with more structure.  With kids in 6th grade and the structure they used it could get a little out of hand.  They did not tell how to do the second activity.  They could use more questions for the higher learning.

2.  What interests you? Analyze the pros and cons of the lesson plan.
I liked the first activity.  I like how it is written up.  Pros would be it is a hands-on activity.  It would be easy to follow this lesson plan if you were a substitute.  It covers a variety of different standards which will help lead onto more standards.  Cons:  the 6th graders may get out of control during the activities.  The lesson plan does not include the second activity.  They need more questions for higher thinking.

3.Reflect what you have learned through this lesson plan.
I learned about the different parts of a whole in the life cycle/food chain.  I learned what all of their vocabulary terms meant.  I learned a different way to play a game that I already own.  I learned that the moose that lives in the north eat a certain type of moss.  I learned that instruction even if lengthy need to be written out clearly and step by step.

4.If you are preparing for the topic, what would you like to add or change?

I would have more follow up questions.  I would be more explicit when I talk about the assessment because with the formative the lesson plan does not even state if this is on paper/orally/to whom.  I would not use a power point instead have an open discussion; let the students become involved at the beginning.  On the activity I would write about the second activity and also have more of a controlled environment during the first activity.
