Service Learning Faculty Learning Community Application

Service Learning is a prime means of incorporating community engagement in the classroom. The Service Learning Faculty Learning Community (SLFLC) is a group of faculty members engaged in regular monthly meetings to increase their knowledge about service learning in the classroom. The purpose of the SLFLC is to support the expansion and integration of academic service learning across campus, to continue the involvement and development of faculty who have completed the Service Learning Fellowship, and to produce documents or other deliverables that facilitate faculty incorporation of service learning activities and principles in their classrooms.
