The purpose of the portfolio is to showcase your accomplishments and goals, and to give you an opportunity to speak with a panel about why you should be rehired. Reflections on current year and prior spring are acceptable. A complete portfolio will be contained in a one-inch binder or smaller. You are encouraged but not required to use page protectors and dividers. It must include:
 Résumé
Samples of your program planning and evaluation forms.
A few pictures of your bulletin boards, programs, staff events, etc.
Newsletters, flyers and other advertising or communication tools.
Personal notes or portions of evaluations from your residents or supervisor.
Demonstrations of your ability to think critically and problem solve.
Any additional items that relate to your RA performance this year!

Portfolios will be presented individually to the rehire panel, which will include RD’s. The presentation will consist of 5-10 minutes of the candidate speaking about their RA or ARM experience and using the portfolio to show highlights, and 5-10 minutes of question/answer with the rehire panel. The presentation may not exceed 10 minutes. The presenter is not required to read or show each page.

Evaluation Criteria:

• Did the candidate come prepared to speak about their position and why they’d like to return?
• Did the candidate use their portfolio to help support their candidacy?
• Does the portfolio include all parts (résumé, application form, personal statement and documentation from this year)?
• Is the portfolio neat, clear, organized, and creative?
