Earth Day help @ BS on 6/1
Michelle Soto, our immediate past Treasurer, has asked Key Club to help Leap and other clubs volunteer on Earth Day in school.
We will be taking trips to Bronx Science’s new garden, and making recycled paper and self-sustainable pots! We will be having a clothing drive where you could get new clothes! We will also be selling smoothies, friendship bracelets, henna tattoos, plants, plant kits, juice carton wallets, tie dye shirts and tons more!
We can help people make recycled paper (Michelle will show us a powerpoint at the), make self-sustainable pots (There's a youtube video you can watch to learn to do that), organize the "Bring Clothes, Get Clothes" clothing drive by making sure that people only get the number of clothing items they bring, sell plants and friendship bracelets by guarding them and selling them for their ticketed prices and help make tie dye shirts and smoothies BUT those things tend to get messy.
Periods 1-3 are "Set Up"--It's a lot of work and it would help to have strong KCers to help set up all the tables
Periods 4-7 are the actual event so that's when you would be at tables, selling things or teaching students how to do things
Period 8 is clean up and LEAP could always use extra hands with that
Michelle is gonna place us at any table that were are needed in so this form is just to figure out who has what frees and when people are willing to help out.
I trust you to be trustworthy because you will be handling a bunch of money.
The celebration is generally pretty nice except that theres so much litter in the courtyard afterwards :/
