Athens Locally Grown: A Research Project
Dear Participant,

You are invited to participate in a project conducted as part of the requirements for a class in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Georgia.  For this project I will be conducting interviews, this survey and in general be observing interactions between farms, distributers, and customers to examine Athens Locally Grown as both a company and a community in Athens, Ga.  The research will be supervised by the course instructor, Dr. Amber Huff.

The purpose of this research project is to help beginning researchers learn more about designing and conducting anthropological research projects.  The information generated will not be used for academic research or publication.  All information obtained will be treated confidentially.

For this project, you have the opportunity participate in an online survey about your personal interactions with Athens Locally Grown and your involvement in the Local Foods Movement in Athens.

You are free to withdraw your participation at any time should you become uncomfortable with it.  If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me at (678) 689-8242.  I hope you will enjoy this opportunity to share your experiences and viewpoints with us.  Thank you very much for your help.

Sincerely,

Conleigh Bauer
