Your view: What do you remember about the 1969 moon landing?
Former U.S. astronaut Neil Armstrong — the first man to set foot on the moon — died following complications from cardiovascular procedures, his family said in a statement Saturday.
Mr. Armstrong commanded the Apollo 11 spacecraft that landed on the moon July 20, 1969, and made history with the words, “That’s one small step for [a] man, one giant leap for mankind.”
We want to hear about your memories of the lunar landing and how it affected you. Your name and contributions may be used in an upcoming feature from The Globe and Mail.
