GATE - Teacher Identification Form
As the end of the year approaches it seems a great time to identify children that you feel are working well above the level of their peers. You know the children well and may well have them in your hub in 2018. Our current definition for giftedness is "children that are performing at an ability that is significantly above that of their same aged peers." We ask that you bear that in mind when considering children for each of the areas in the below form. Teachers in a hub can work together to complete this form however, we asks for use of the spreadsheet if each home base complete a form. Can you please record the child's first and last name.

We are aware that giftedness may occur across a range of domains. We are used to using data to inform our decisions. Every now and then it is worth considering other factors to ensure that children don't go through schooling without being identified. Where possible we endeavour to meet the needs of these children through class based enrichment, differentiated programmes and open ended tasks. These children may reflect 10% of the children in your class.
