RACE FOR CHARITY
Right To Play has the unique opportunity to be a charity recipient of the 2012 Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon. As an organization, Right To Play has five race entries to allocate to individuals who support the mission of the organization and are dedicated to helping our cause by meeting the fundraising minimum.

FUNDRAISING MINIMUM
We ask that all participants meet a fundraising minimum of $3,000. It costs just $50 to provide sport and play programs to a child for an entire year, so entrants support 60 children by meeting this goal. Participants will be set up with an individual fundraising page and personal assistance to help them in meeting their goals. Fundraising ideas may include an online giving campaign, use of social media outlets, gatherings where you feature Right To Play, etc. Our goal from participating in the Escape From Alcatraz is to raise enough funds to support 300 children.

ABOUT THE ESCAPE FROM ALCATRAZ- June 10, 2012
The 2012 Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon features a 1.5-mile swim through frigid waters from Alcatraz Island to the shores of the St. Francis Yacht Club, a grueling 18-mile bike ride, and a demanding 8-mile run through the trails of the Golden Gate Recreational Area. Set against the natural beauty of San Francisco, this thrilling triathlon is a virtual postcard of the City by the Bay.

Entries are limited to 2,000 competitors each year. Participants must either qualify for Escape from Alcatraz or register for the Random Lottery which is now closed. Right To Play is lucky to be a part of such a historic race and is excited to support our Team in this experience.
