Passport 2 College 2013 Registration

A college education is essential in today's high-tech, fast paced world. Our college courses are a great first step toward achieving this goal. If you want to get ahead of your peers - and stay ahead - DeVry University’s Passport2College (P2C) is designed for you. Passport2College is a tuition-waived program offered by DeVry University for high school students to earn college credit during the summer. Students can apply for one or both courses offered through the Passport2College program: BUSN-115 Introduction to Business and Technology (3 credit hours) Classes will meet for five weeks on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00am – 12:00pm. First class starts on July 9, 2013. This course introduces business and the environments in which businesses operate. Students examine the roles of the major functional areas of the business and interrelationships among them. Organizational theories and techniques are examined, and economic, cultural, political and technological factors affecting business organizations are evaluated. CIS-115 Logic and Design Computer Information Systems (3 credit hours) Classes will meet for five weeks on Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00pm – 4:00pm. First class starts on July 9, 2013. This course introduces basics of programming logic as well as algorithm design and development including constants, variables expressions, arrays files and control structures for sequential, iterative and decision processing. Students learn to design and document program specifications using tools such as flowcharts, structure charts and pseudo code. Program specification validation through desk-checking and walk-throughs is also covered. You will also need to complete the following steps as part of the application process: Step One: Register for Passport 2 College by filling out the form below. Step Two: Complete and sign the Undergraduate Enrollment Application. Step Three: Obtain a letter of recommendation from your principal,counselor or teacher. Step Four: Obtain a copy of your high school transcripts. Step Five: Attend an orientation date; along with a parent/legal guardian if under the age of 18.
