Application to represent AAJA on journalism accrediting council
Thank you for your interest in furthering the mission of diversity in journalism. Your work representing the Asian American Journalists Association on the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications will be invaluable.
We are looking for a volunteer to commit to at least two years of service (ideally, three years) with the council. During that time, you must remain a dues-paying member of AAJA. Council work involves travel twice a year for meetings lasting at least one day (generally in May and August) as well as additional time to review accrediting reports.
AAJA's representative must work in the media (PR and advertising positions count). The accrediting council's members are a mix of academics and people from news organizations.
Please fill out the required questions below and send a copy of your resume to Doris Truong (email@example.com). If you have questions about this volunteer position, please direct those to Doris, as well.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Midnight Pacific on Friday, June 15, 2012.
(AAJA's representative to ACEJMC will be designated no later than June 30, 2012, with the first meeting occurring in late August 2012.)
