Please join the NYU Chaplains' Circle, the Bronfman Center for Jewish Student Life, the Islamic Center at NYU, the NYU Protestant Life Affiliate Network, the Center for Multicultural Education and Programs, and the LGBTQ Center for a peace vigil to mourn the recent loss of life this summer in the United States (Chicago, Ferguson, New York) and abroad (Middle East, Africa, Burma). We do not presume that we will resolve political differences, nor do we advocate a simplistic "call for peace" which ignores the myriad of local, regional, and global considerations. Rather, our hope is to cultivate a space where individuals can come together, listen to each other and build relationships towards creating change.
