Wikimania Takes Manahattan
Wikimania Takes Manhattan is a special pre-Wikimania weekend in New York City, organized by Wikimedia NYC, running mainly from the evening of Friday July 6 to the morning of Monday July 9.

Throughout the weekend, there will be numerous social activities and tours during the day, and big get-together dinners for our Wikimaniac guests in the evenings. Tentatively, we'll do Friday: Upper Manhattan, Saturday: Lower Manhattan & Brooklyn, and Sunday: Midtown.

The highlight event on Saturday will be a "Wiki World's Fair" civic celebration held on beautiful Governors Island, with booths for numerous represented Wikiverse and Free Culture initiatives.

At the end, many of us will take on Monday a special charter WikiBus together to DC and the exciting start of the Wikimania Pre-conference/Hacking Days.

WikiBus has limited seating (48 seats), and unfortunately is all *booked up* now. The WikiBus will depart from NYC's Port Authority Bus Terminal at 10:00AM July 9th.
