The objective of this program is to introduce undergraduate students to the theories, principles, and methods of conducting quantitative and qualitative research in Social Sciences. The program will acquaint students with general issues involved in conducting research, including: ethics, validity, reliability, and instrument construction. More specifically, through a series of workshops and dialogues, REAP will teach students about the various components of research, including: conducting a literature review, formulation of research questions, statement of hypotheses, theory, selection of subjects, research design, and data collection methods. Throughout the year and with supervision, students will generate and develop their own research interests and produce an original research proposal in their field of specialization.
Workshops will be held Thursday evenings from 6pm to 8pm.Workshops will begin Thursday of Week 4.
