Registering a Chapter means that you will commit to helping to get people sign postcards.  October 26th, Hillary Clinton's Birthday, you may attract people to the cause by showing the film the "Greatest Silence", have people sign post cards, have a cake in Secretary Clinton's honor...The goal is to get as many people as possible to sign postcards and send them to Secretary Clinton while educating the public on the conflict in the Congo.  Once you fill out this registration form you will receive a confirmation email from one of the coordinators of the campaign.  Thank you for helping to create positive change in the DRC.  We look forward to working with you!

Since war broke out in 1998, more than five million people have been killed in the Democratic Republic of Congo and tens of thousands of women and girls have been raped and tortured. A cease-fire was declared in 2002, but foreign militias have continued to terrorize the Congolese population. We believe that ending the violence in East Congo, which is greater than any conflict since World War II, should be a foreign policy priority for the United States. As the most powerful woman in the world, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton must use her influence to stop the suffering and slaughter. Specifically, the “Dear Hillary” campaign calls for the enforcement of Public Law 109-456, (DRC Relief. Security, and Democracy Act of 2006) which commits the United States to an active role in establishing peace and security in the DRC.
