MIT Earth Day Challenge: Action Project Sponsor

Celebrate Earth Day 2012 at MIT with green action by participating in the MIT Earth Day Challenge! Participants will earn points by engaging in action projects to win green prizes at the culminating Earth Day Bash. Your organization can sponsor a green action project for participants to engage in during the month of April. Have you always had a green project in mind but never had enough volunteers to help? Register your project to encourage participation! Do you have an existing environmental event in April? Register your event as a project to increase promotion! Example projects include postering to encourage energy or waste-reducing behavior, the monthly Choose to Reuse event, the annual Charles River Cleanup, environmental art, photo contests, and related speakers and films. Guidelines: Project sponsorship is easy; complete this form to get started. By sponsoring a project, you agree to organize the date, time, location, and entire content of the project including any pre-planning and supplies necessary as well as carrying out the project itself. You will also be asked to manage a sign up sheet to track Challenge participants who attend your project and then to submit that sign up sheet to challenge organizers. A template Challenge poster will be provided for you to display at your project. Registering your project ensures it will be promoted as part of the MIT Earth Day Challenge. Projects should take place on the MIT campus or in the nearby community from April 1st-April 25th (exceptions may be considered). Project sponsors can still participate as individuals in the MIT Earth Day Challenge. All project sponsors will be invited to the Earth Day Bash.
