FALL 2012 Wednesday morning course -- Records & Methods of Finding Them, On & Off-line

There will be two lectures for each session, and time for participants to share their research trials and successes. Proposed Topics: 19 Sept: English Dicesan Wills & Occupational Records 26 Sept: Greater London Records & Large US Town Records, using the Example of Chicago 3 Oct: English Records 1540-1660 & American Colonial Records 10 Oct: English County Civil Records 1650 - 1800 & Welsh Records 17 Oct: Scottish Records & English Marriage Records 24 Oct: Rogues Gallery Records & Making Her Story Come Alive 31 Oct: Digging in Overseas Archives & Library Books on Line 7 Nov: Scandinavian "Little Places" & American Land Grants Sessions are scheduled at MPFHC on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon beginning Sept 19 through Nov 7 . A one-time donation of $25 is requested to cover costs of handouts and other supplies. Instructors will be MPFHC staff members and lecturers with experience in the topics. Inge Harding-Barlow is program facilitator.
