James D. Tresmond, Esq. of Western NY is working on a Class Action Lawsuit to be filed in the western district federal court against New York State. Citing implications on the 1st Amendment, 2nd Amendment, and 5th Amendment of the United States Constitution, along with citing the decisions resulting from recent Supreme Court Cases (e.g. District of Columbia v. Heller and McDonald v. Chicago), he believes that this is an ex facto law and a violation of our civil rights. THERE IS NO COST TO PARTICIPATE, AND JAMES D. TRESMOND, ESQ. IS NOT CHARGING ANY OF US FOR HIS SERVICES.

Eligibility to Participate

If you are a legal firearm owner and this recent January 2013 NYS gun law affects you, then please consider filling out the form, below, and joining in this Class Action Lawsuit. The new law affects you if, for example, you own any firearm (rifle, shotgun, or handgun) and magazines that each hold more than 7 rounds of ammunition (regardless of caliber), or if you own a Bushmaster firearm, or if you own any assault rifle or other firearm that contains a pistol grip at all or even a grip for your other hand that extends from the gun. (The new law also requires every ammunition sale to be subject to a background check regardless of quantity purchased, along with other restrictions that affect a widespread number of gun owners during the purchase, sale/transfer, and storage of their firearms.)

Although we disclaim any liability due to you providing your information (e.g. due to cyber attack, measures beyond our control, etc.), we will not sign you up for any regular mailing lists and will only willingly share your information with James D. Tresmond, Esq.'s law firm, those involved with the lawsuit, and those involved with collecting the names of those wishing to participate in the lawsuit, on a need-to-know basis determined at our discretion. We will attempt to take reasonable measures to protect your privacy. We or James D. Tresmond, Esq.'s law firm may contact you in the future, but we will try to limit this only to matters that are necessary in carrying out this lawsuit. We will attempt to respect anyone's desire for privacy and for not receiving unwanted communications.
