As part of the University of New England Summer Orientation Program, there is an optional, one-day orientation for Parents. These sessions take place on the 1st day of the campus-based student programs:
Session I (Monday, June 18th)
Session II (Sunday, June 24th)
Session III (Wednesday, June 27th)
The program will tentatively run from 1:00 to 6:30 pm on these dates. The experience will include an opportunity to see faculty and staff and learn more about, Billing, Financial Aid, Housing, and generally what your student's experience will be during his or her first year at UNE and what resources are available to you as parents.
Can't make an Orientation? There is a "Virtual Orientation" on the Parent Website that will include video of the information sessions AND administrative offices are open all summer if you need a special phone or in-person appointment to get questions answered. The Student Affairs Office can also help you navigate your questions and connect you to the resources you need. Videos from Orientation 2011 can be viewed at
http://www.une.edu/studentlife/biddeford/orientation/parents/videos/index.cfm. Please check them out to see what Orientation is like and if it is something you might want to do.
A confirmation email will be sent to all registrants. If you have any questions about Parent Orientation or anything else about becoming part of the UNE Family, please email us at
parents@une.edu or call the Student Affairs Office at (207) 602-2372.
Thank you!
