Use this form to register for 2013/2014 U11-U14 and U15-U18 Oregon Soccer Competitive Team Tryouts. See the specific schedule below for each age level. Rain dates will be set as needed.
Selection Process: Competitive teams U11-U14 and U15-U18 will be composed of invited players selected based on 3 sources of information.
These include tryouts, current coach evaluations and OSC board member input. Current Competitive team players must tryout each year to stay on the team.
Tryouts will be conducted by our current Competitive team coaches, working with next year's coaches and other professional coaches, as well.
Players should attend both days if possible, to allow the coaches maximum exposure to their abilities. If a player cannot make both days, please tell us in the comments field below.
Typically these teams will participate in off-season sessions, not included in the fees, and compete in 3-4 tournaments. Professional coaches with significant coaching and playing experience will train the Competitive teams. Annual player costs for playing on a Competitive team, covering MAYSA fees, coach costs, and tournament fees generally run between $800-$1000 depending on the team, plus fees for any off-season activities the player may choose to participate in. U15-U18 players only play half the full season (girls in fall, boys in spring) so the fees will be less for those groups.

Alternate dates for Girls High School Tryouts may be moved because we hope they will have an extended run in the WIAA State Playoffs. If this happens, then dates will be moved to June 13 - 14 or June 19 - 20
What to Bring:
Players should bring a ball, shin guards, and water. When players check in, they will be given a number to wear during tryouts. If players did not play for a competitive team in Oregon this year, or another team that had WYSA player cards, a copy of a state-issued birth certificate or passport must be provided as proof of age. This may be a photocopy, and we need to be able to keep it to send in to MAYSA.
Check in is next to the Brown Soccer Shed behind Netherwood Knoll Elementary School on Oak St. in Oregon 30 minutes before your scheduled time.
Bring a check payable to Oregon Soccer Club for $20 for each player signed up. Cost will be $30.00 for onsite registration.
See the table below to know what division (U11, etc.) to sign up in. Usually, 5th graders in the fall
will be U11, 6th graders U12, etc., However, for Classic/Competitive teams, the birthday rules must be followed absolutely. This means if a fall 2013 5th grader is born prior to August 1, 2002, they must play U12 if they want to play Competitive. If there are enough qualified players, we will form more than one team at a gender/age level.
