DC Cooperatives Asset Map
The purpose of this survey is to:
1) get an understanding of the knowledge and experiences we have related to cooperatives
2) get clarity on the areas we are each interested in learning more about

Once we have all filled it out, the results will be shared with the group and we will begin to organize a series of skillshares and learning sessions.

Remember, you don't need to be an expert to have valuable knowledge to share with the group!

Have you ever been a part of a cooperative or a cooperative living arrangement? Are there lessons you'd like to share with the group?
Examples of cooperative living arrangements include group houses, childcare, and carpools/resource sharing. If you've worked with a cooperative, please include a brief description of the cooperative (including the type - consumer, producer, worker and purchasing/shared services), the way decisions were made, and the lessons you learned. Please also include where this happened.
If so, what were the positives (things you'd do again in a future coop) and negatives (things you'd change in the future) of the cooperative or cooperative living arrangement?
Are you familiar with any examples of historical or existing cooperatives that you can share with the group?
Please include a brief description, including the coop type. You don't need to have been a part of the cooperative.
Would you be interested in interviewing someone who has experience with a local cooperative and share that information with the group?
We can help connect you to someone and provide a standard list of questions to ask.
What skills or passions do you bring to the organizing effort?
(graphic design, budgting, public relations, facilitating meetings, grassroots educator, etc.)
Are you interested in learning about any of the following?
You can choose more than one.
Please include some thoughts on what you're top learning priorities are, or more specific thoughts on what you would like to learn about cooperatives.
After you learn more about cooperatives, do you see yourself exploring the creation of a particular local cooperative?
If so, what might it focus on? ie agriculture in NE, healthcare, etc.  It's ok if it's just in the idea stage and you're not sure yet.
What are ways you think we can make the information from the skillshare and other learning sessions more accessible to those outside of the group?
Open - please include any ideas or thoughts that didn't fit in the questions above.
