Do I Have A Choice About Stress?

Date: Tuesday, February 5, 2013 Time: 12:00-1:00 pm Location: FAC MultiUse Room 2 Presenter: Michaela Hauser-Wagner In this workshop Alexander Technique teacher Michaela Hauser-Wagner, assisted by Heather Stegmaier, will show you an easy yet intelligent way to rest your body and calm your mind. The Alexander Technique is a mind-body-intervention that enables the learner to recognize stress factors as stimuli and to gain control over the ways in which we react to stressful stimuli. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a sticky mat to this workshop.

Myofascial Release

Date: Wednesday, March 27, 2013 Time: 12:00-1:00 pm Location: FAC MultiUse Room 2 Presenter: Sue Schade This workshop will incorporate the use of tennis balls to assist in releasing tightness and restrictions in the fascial network within the body. Participants should wear layered clothing and bring a yoga mat to class. The course will include breath instruction, movement preparation, use of the tennis balls within a sound yoga practice. This session will close with relaxation. This workshop is beneficial for anyone looking to open and release their physical body through breath and self-massage techniques.
