Job Description

Campus Recreation seeks a dynamic student assistant to do marketing work for our department. This qualified student would assist in creating a wide variety of departmental marketing materials and publications, both print and digital. Additional duties include: • Provide creative graphics from draft to final layout under tight deadlines. • Assist with publicity to social media outlets • Responsible for the complete design process and be willing to recreate and redesign under scrutiny of guidelines and supervisor • Ability to work independently, (having current operating systems on their personal computer and to be able to work from home as well as in the main office) • Understanding of social media such as Facebook and Twitter and being able to update it with departmental information * Ability to meet at least once a week for an hour during the work day 8am-5pm to meet with supervisor


The successful candidate must have graphic design skills and experience using Adobe Creative Suite Software (Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator, and InDesign) and knowledge of MS Office, MS Publisher, Powerpoint and social media. We are looking for student assistants who are friendly, motivated, well-organized, and have the ability to work under pressure while maintaining a professional attitude. Additionally, the qualified candidate would need to have their own personal computer equipment and the above named software.

Pay Range

Pay will be commensurate with experience. Pay range will be $10 - $15.
