Thank you for your interest in the Gibbs & Bruns Moot Court Tournament!
This year's problem will be an actual Texas Supreme Court case already scheduled for oral arguments. There will be no brief writing component, but we encourage competitors to examine the briefs and the case law being cited as well as the record of the case itself. The competition will be single elimination. This year's competition will be single competitor ie no pairs.
We anticipate that competitors will be divided such that one half will have their first round on October 18th and the other on October 23rd. The case name, briefs, and additional information will be sent within 24 hours of the submission of this form.
The schedule is subject to change, but you should consider signing up here to be a commitment to compete on any or all of the dates below (later dates will be for quarter-, semi-, and final-rounds). 8pm should be considered the latest a round may go, and most rounds will conclude earlier. Finals will be held on November 2nd at some time between 1-5pm, but will not occupy that entire time span.
October 18th: 6.15pm - 8.00pm
October 23rd: 6.15pm - 8.00pm
