Join us for lunch with Fred Cavern. Fred was one of the first GGU accounting undergraduates to be hired directly into the tax department of a "Big 8 " public accounting firm. He specialized in the taxation of wealthy individuals, real estate and hedge fund partnerships as well as real estate investment trusts and ultimately became a tax partner at Coopers & Lybrand. In 1989, and again in 1991, he produced a monograph predicting the advent of the modern REIT era during which over 200 private real estate companies eventually went public. Fred left public accounting 1993 for Wall Street to become an investment banker where he was considered an advocate for corporate governance and financial transparency and advised some of the most successful REIT IPOs and mergers of that time.
Fred will be speaking about leadership, as it relates to the choices he has made in his career.
