Taster Days are tailored for school & college students who are thinking about going to University.
During these taster sessions we will be holding a series of lectures, workshops and seminars together with exciting hands on activities in the laboratories and studios. The aim of the session is to give prospective students a better insight into what careers in our subject areas entail.
As well as having the opportunity to tour our state of the art Docklands campus, you will interact with current students and have the opportunity to talk to lecturers. The session aims to provide you with first hand experience into university life.

What is a taster course?
They are short courses organised to provide Year 11, 12 & 13 students, or equivalent, the opportunity to experience life at university.
Which subjects are covered?
Architecture, Interior Design, Computer Science, Product Design, Surveying, Civil & Structural Engineering, Construction Management.
How many students can I bring?
To allow as many students to benefit from the events, the maximum number of students per subject is 30; there is no minimum.
How many staff members should attend?
Ideally one or two per group of 10. They need to remain responsible for the group during the day. You also need to fulfill your school\college own policies about trips.
Is there parking available?
There is limited parking at the Docklands campus. By public transport, the Docklands campus is served by the Docklands Light Railway (DLR), with trains running every 5-10 minutes from the Cyprus station. Bus routes serving Docklands include: the 101, 173, 262, 300, 366, 376, 474 and N551.
