To unite youth from diverse racial, cultural, and economic backgrounds and help them build self-esteem and mutual respect through the practice of circus arts.
CircEsteem strives to make circus available to all students regardless of financial means. To serve this mission, we offer at least 1/3 of the spots in every CircEsteem class to Scholarship and Sliding scale participants (assuming there are enough full-paying students to cover the expenses associated with running the class).
Each family needing financial assistance may use Sliding Scale or Scholarship for one (1) Circus Buffet Class and one (1) Curriculum Class or one (1) Performance Track Class per session. Because space is limited, requests for curriculum classes must be made by November 30, 2012. Families should indicate their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices for classes. While we will try to accommodate all requests, not all students may be able to partake in curriculum classes each session. Priority will be given the next session to students who were not able to receive a scholarship to the class of their choice during the previous session.
CircEsteem believes that families can contribute in many different ways. We like to give families alternatives to paying full price by offering opportunities to barter or volunteer with CircEsteem.
