Summary: This webinar provides high level introduction to scientific visualization using ParaView. ParaView is an open-source, multi-platform parallel data analysis and visualization application built upon the Visualization Toolkit (VTK) Library. The webinar will feature demonstrations of how to read in data and create some commonly used plots using the visualization tool. One of the goals of the XSP is to provide students opportunities to learn more about high performance computing and the digital services that XSEDE offers to scientists.
Dr. Byrd is a Visualization Scientist with Clemson Computing and Information Technology Cyberinfrastructure Technology Integration (CCIT-CITI). She works closely with the division of Visual Computing in Clemson’s School of Computing and research groups in biological sciences, mechanical engineering and social sciences/humanities.
