Bell School Parent Volunteer Opportunities
Parents contribute in many ways to the success of Bell School.  One of the most important ways you contribute is with your time.  This questionnaire describes various volunteer opportunities at Bell, From Friends of Bell School (FOB) fundraisers that support academic and extracurricular activities, to ways you can provide assistance directly at the school.  Friends of Bell School is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization operated for the benefit of the students of Alexander Graham Bell School.

Bell wants to make it easy for parents to fit volunteering into their schedules.  The easiest way to get started volunteering is to use this online form which you can also find at www.agbellschool.com. If you would like more information about an activity, please email your request to bellschool.volunteers@gmail.com.    Thanks so much!

FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES
Bell School uses fundraising to help supplement the CPS budget.  We are able to have extras for our students through the generosity of the Bell Parents and Bell Community.  Some of the extras could be special residencies for a particular grade, more supplies for Art or Athletics, a teaching/staff position or an administrative position.  Our fundraising efforts need lots of help and we look to our Bell Community for that help.  If you would like to help please read over the fundraisers and select whatever strikes your fancy!  Thank you for volunteering!

Artsonia
Artsonia's On-line art gallery is a wonderful way for Bell students to showcase their artwork to each other, family and friends.  Assistance is needed in generating, distributing/collecting missing permission forms for signature; as well as updating our student roster on Artsonia.  Assistance is also needed in photographing student artwork with quality digital camera.  Small pieces (smaller than 8x11) can be scanned. Digital images are then transferred to your computer, labeled, cropped and uploaded onto the Artsonia website.  We will need at least 5 volunteers to photograph exhibits from school and/or home. You do not need to be extremely experienced, just a steady hand to get a sharp shot! Artsonia's website is very user-friendly. Current volunteers will train and help along the way.
