Hello Graduates!

The Vietnamese Student Union (VSU) proudly presents its seventh annual Vietnamese Graduation. The graduation will be an outdoor event in the courtyard area behind Powell Library, which is between Powell and Physics and Astronomy Building. We cordially invite all graduating seniors who identify as Vietnamese, have been involved with VSU, and/or would like to be a part of the ceremony. Graduates will be seated with their family and friends and will also be served food. There will be a keynote speaker from the community, student speakers, and a translator for parents. It is an opportunity to appreciate and celebrate the success of the Vietnamese community at UCLA. The event is semi-formal, so we suggest that our guests dress accordingly. Graduates will also have the option to purchase sashes prior to V-Grad and will receive them on the day of the event. Lastly, we ask that graduates contribute a $20 check that will be reimbursed on the day of the event (more details below).

Vietnamese Graduation 2012
Date: Sunday, June 17th, 2012
Time: 4-6 PM
Location: Powell Courtyard (between back of Powell and Physics and Astronomy)

Deposits: $20 Check Due Wednesday, May 30th, 2012.

If you are interested in participating, please write a check to "Vietnamese Student Union at UCLA" for an amount of $20. Because we are paying for food and decorations, we want to make sure that graduates will commit to the actual event. This amount is only a deposit and you will receive your check back on the day of the event. Please have checks in no later than Wednesday, May 30th, 2012

All participating graduates will also have a graduation picture taken during week 9 for the program.

Graduation Pictures: Week 9 (more info will be sent later about this)
