Adler Planetarium Teen Internship Application: Step 1
This online application form is the first part of a multi-step application process, which will require you to submit additional materials by email.  When you have completed this application form, please make sure to consult the internship information page at http://www.adlerplanetarium.org/investigate/participate/careers/teeninternship for more information.

You must be over the age of 14 to be employed by the Adler.  If you are under the age of 16 you will need to obtain a work permit or employment certificate from your school.  Consult http://www.state.il.us/agency/idol/faq/qacll.htm for more information.

If hired, you will need to complete an Federal I9 form and provide documents that establish both your Identity and Employment Authorization. You can download an I9 form at http://www.uscis.gov/i-9.  See Page 5 of the form for acceptable documents and make sure you can provide at least one document from Column A OR one from columns B and C each.

Employment Eligibility
The following questions *may* determine whether you are eligible to work at the Adler this summer.  At the time this application was written, NOT all the conditions below MUST be satisfied to be eligible.

You must be over the age of 14 to be hired into the Summer Teen Internship Program. Additionally, if you are under the age of 16 you will need to obtain a work permit or employment certificate from your school.  Consult http://www.state.il.us/agency/idol/faq/qacll.htm for more information.

If hired, you will need to provide proof of citizenship or legal residency. You can review information on this requirement at http://www.uscis.gov/i-9.

The Adler Planetarium is a not-for-profit institution that provides direct service to the public. Please be aware that all offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
