As a Purple Posse volunteer you will serve as a representative of Residential Services and Northwestern University and as such you must present yourself in a professional manner. Purple Posse volunteers must be able to: * Lift and carry heavy items; * Attend the mandatory Purple Posse Orientation meeting on Wednesday, May 23 from 7PM to 9PM; * Move into on-campus housing on Wednesday, September 19 and attend training in the evening of September 19 6PM-9PM (location TBD); and * Work one 7-hour shift on Thursday, September 20, 2012, (approximately 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) with a lunch break and a rest break, and work one 4-hour shift on Monday, September 24, 2012 This includes, but is not limited to, arriving on time and staying through the end of all assigned volunteer hours, attending all mandatory meetings, and acting in a customer-friendly, helpful manner toward all NU students, their families as well as staff. Failure to complete assigned volunteer hours will result in your being charged for your room for five days (September 19-24). This charge is not appealable. Additionally you and the student organization that you reprsent will not be able to participate in the Purple Posse during Wildcat Welcome 2012. Violations of Purple Posse ethical or procedural expectations may result in, at minimum, an immediate removal from the program and a prorated room charge for those volunteers living in University Housing. By typing my name below, I hereby indicate that I have read and understood the terms and conditions of the Purple Posse and am willing to volunteer. By applying for this position, I give University Residential Life permission to check my disciplinary status with Northwestern.
