Dear participant,
I am a graduate student at the University of Florida researching Permit movement patterns in Florida and the greater Caribbean. As part of my thesis, I am asking anglers and guides to discuss seasonal capture rates and (if applicable) their involvement in dart tagging permit. This survey will allow me to characterize fishery stakeholders. The survey will take approximately fifteen minutes to complete. The survey is voluntary, but your cooperation is extremely important to help make our survey results comprehensive, accurate, and timely. There are no “correct” or “incorrect” answers in the questionnaire, so please express your true feelings.
Benefits from participating in this study include the opportunity to have your input incorporated into current research and conservation practices. There is no compensation for participation, but know that your participation is important. The survey is anonymous; be assured that in my analysis and reporting of results your answers will not be connected with you. There are no risks to you from participating in this study. Your participation in this study is completely voluntary, you have the right not to answer any specific questions and you may withdraw your consent at any time. There is no penalty for not participating.
