Join Microsoft development experts at a day filled with workshops designed to guide you through building an app. Attendees will be introduced to a simple game development tool called Scirra. Step-by-step instructions will be provided on how to build an app in addition to information on how to take advantage of the opportunity to make money of your app through the Windows 8 Store. This event is free and open to current DeVry/Keller students and faculty, high school and community college students and community members.

A NOTE FROM MICROSOFT HOSTS: If possible you should come to this event with your own machine to develop on (a limited number of computers will be available for use if you do not have one). It is highly recommended that you have an installation of Windows 8 and Visual Studio 2012 pre-installed. If you don’t have access to either Windows 8 or Visual Studio through programs such as MSDN Subscription, you can download an evaluation of Windows 8 and the free Visual Studio 2012 Express for Windows 8 at http://aka.ms/Win8Tools. If neither of these options works for you, we will help you setup a free one-day cloud-based development environment.
