The Resource Development Center at Missouri Southern State University will host a free workshop on grantseeking for nonprofit organizations on Monday, October 29th from 9:30am to 11:30am.
The session will be led by Kief Schladweiler, Coordinator of Cooperating Collections with the Foundation Center. Mr. Schladweiler will highlight the electronic and print resources available for your free use at the Resource Development Center at Missouri Southern State University, a Cooperating Collection of the Foundation Center. The training will cover the following areas: “Introduction to Finding Funders,” “Guide to Online Grantseeker Resources,” and “Proposal Writing Basics”.
For detailed descriptions of each of these items, please visit the RDC website at:
Due to the tremendous response from the community, here are updates on two important issues concerning the workshops:
Our MSSU Police Department is blocking off parking for workshop participants. It will be marked with cones and flagged tape. I suspect the location will be in west end of what we call “The Pit”. If you come in on Southern View and turn right into the parking lot, you should find the area to your left, just north of University Way. Handicap Parking Spaces are available in the parking lot outside Billingsly and the Alumni Center.
There has been a change in the room assignment. The workshop will be held in the Conner Ballroom, Billingsly Student Center, 3rd Floor. Billingsly Student Center is located in the center of the oval (#14 on the map below).
Here is a map for those of you who may not be familiar with our campus: http://www2.mssu.edu/Cmap080510.pdf (Please be aware that the map shows Southern as it sits (north is not up on this map).
If you need assistance or have questions before the workshop, don’t hesitate to drop me a line.
I am looking forward to seeing all of you!
