BACKGROUND: AIABaltimore's goal for 2013 is to increase civic engagement. We hope to encourage member involvement in three areas: local government, our community at large, and our future architects. Our goal is to have a larger role in the growth of our city and draw future architects to the profession-- ensuring the health of the profession for generations to come. Additionally, our heightened impact and visibility will increase the perceived value of architects and of design.
To further our goal of focusing on civic engagement, we are seeking to develop resources and a network of citizen architects who serve on civic boards or in other volunteer roles with national, state, city, or neighborhood agencies, commissions, or allied professional or educational nonprofit organizations. If you currently serve in this capacity, or if you would like to expand your civic leadership, please fill out this survey, and someone from AIABaltimore will get in touch!
Of course, you can always contact us directly if you prefer: email: email@example.com / phone: 410.625.2585.
