Android/Java; Python; Machine Learning
10+ years experience coding. 5+ years experience in Python. One working Android app. Currently taking the ML course through Coursera, using Octave. Used Python and Java during the Google code jam.It would be good to work on a machine learning application using either Python or Octave. It could also be good to work on an Android app.

Got an embedded flash video to run yesterday, but not sure the required code for local (development) execution is different from heroku (production) execution.

6/18/2013 7:39:15nickpR, C++R ~7 years, C++ < 1yrI have a small-ish database of digitized 2D physical surfaces. I'd like to implement feature extractors like SIFT, HOG, etc in C++ (I want my own house code) and analyze the feature space in R. Hoping to sharpen my C++/ fast numerical computing skills (and incidentally find a feature set that leads to discrimination between the surfaces (i.e. signals))

Building up a set of GUIs using something like the QT library and 3D visualization tools with something like OpenGL would be nice too. My experience with either of those libraries is basically nil however. Learning them though.
