I do get some minor rubbing on the driver's side when off road, but nothing major. I eventually plan to upgrade my level to a 3.5" lift to eliminate all rubbing. There is definitely a difference in road noise and stiffness (not unbearable, but definitely noticeable) compared to the stock 265/65/17s my Silverado came with, but these were sacrifices I was willing to make.

I put over 20,000 miles on them, and they already had 5,000 - 10,000 miles on them. This is very good for tires on the dirt roads I have. They refuse to go flat. I had to add a litle bit of air every couple of weeks to one for a while before I changed them. The other three were fine. When I had them changed, we found multiple small leaks in two of the tires. Their traction is amazing. Great on dirt roads and trails. Great on the highway and in the city too. They have never broke loose when braking. They're so good my dad, brother and I all use them on our trucks and we even have them on my moms CRV now. For the quality they are a great price. 2 Load range D tires were $412 installed.

I knew I'd be heading across Colorado, Utah, Idaho, and Oregon in mid-November. Being of the lazy sort, I opted for this specific tire due to the fact that it displays the Mountain Snow insignia. Having this insignia on the side of the tire allows me to drive in snowy conditions without having to use chains. I have had the tires for about 30k miles now. They have gotten a bit louder, as far as road noise, as they have wore down. This doesn't bother me, so my rating is biased on that particular question. When it comes to traction in conditions other than dry, I slow down. My rating is based on both how I feel the tires handle in wet/snow conditions based on my driving style with others around me, as well as how I want them to handle these same conditions when I am away from traffic and want to cut loose.

I rarely go off road. Also, these Rugged Terrain tires are about 10 lbs lighter per tire than all-terrains, which can make a huge difference not only with on-road performance and handling, but also with mpg's. Lastly, these tires are rated to have better wet road traction than the TKO's, so for me it was a no brainer.

These were on for about 34500mi before being replaced. They did lose a lot of traction when they wore down. For the last 1000 or so miles they were on I noticed my stopping distance increase and wet pavement traction drop. I was also getting a TPMS ding on different tires every couple days. Mon was tire 1, Tues was tire 2 etc. Granted it went from summer to winter just prior to replacing them but airing up all 4 every couple days was an inconvenience. The shoulders were almost smooth by this point (keep in mind I almost always take ramps over posted) and I am really surprised the lasted this long. Overall...pretty good tire. No complaints until they got near the end of service life (for me). Always stuck to the road no matter if it was wet/dry and I was REALLY surprised how well they handled snow. When in 4auto I was able to drive in 6in of fresh snow as if there was no snow. Never really went off road. They were on dirt paths, farm waterways, and tar/chip roads. No complaints. I have pulled out quite a few bushes and a dozen or so concrete sunk fence posts while in the grassy areas of my yard and they did dig in after the chain went taught. Once they ate thru the grass and hit soil they dug in and just walked posts out. Maintenance......rotated every other oil change (6000 or so). Kept the pressures around 35-40. 3 of the 4 had at least 1 patch/plug from nails, screws and did not slow leak until recently. When I discovered an 8p nail in one of the tires I waited until the TPMS sensor went off to have it patched (was new to TPMS and wanted to see what happened). It stayed good for about 2 months. The nail head popped off and caused the leak. My last truck (S10) had GY's on them and I got about the same mileage out of em if that gives you an idea of my habits. These held up pretty good for the abuse otherwise. If I wasn't wanting a bigger tire/wheel combo I would buy these again if the price was right.

I expect to get a lot of miles out of them. With that being said I replaced Bridgestone Dueler AT/H P275/55R/20 and going from a 6 ply to a 10 ply increased the weight per tire about 13 pounds. That directly killed my MPG from more that 17 MPG down to below 15 MPG. This tire is noisy and does ride rougher than the 6 ply tire. Hey, it's a great off road tire but to gain something in one area such as off road traction and toughness I gave up a little ride comfort, I now have road noise, and I lost over 2 MPG. If I had it to do over again I would fit my truck with a 6 ply tire instead of a 10 ply. If your looking for a really tough, aggressive tire that will give you a lot of miles, a great look, and good off road performance these tires are good.

I live in Northeastern Ontario, where the roads are rough and the off road conditions consist of muskeg and bald rock. This tire paws through whatever i can find on trail and holds it own in the deep stuff. Self cleaning works great although I have found a lot of wheel speed is needed to keep them clear. In deep snow this tire performs very well for an all terrain, but is not good on ice, or hard packed roads. Also on very wet roads they become a bit washy, you can feel them walking around under hard corning in the rain. These tires look great and are tough, the Pros definitely outweigh the Cons for what I use them for. I have 23,000 Km on these tires, and have only wore 9/32 of an inch off them. Very impressed so far, will be getting another set when these are pooched.

They're loud. I'd say that their wet and dry traction are about the same as the crappy Goodyear ST tires that came stock with the truck. These are a no-nonsense wither tire, designed for snow and ice. The addition of studs gives these tires amazing traction on black and glare ice. Night and day over an AT tire. Braking and cornering are excellent in the white stuff. If you push them you can still slide but the skid is very easily controllable, almost like you're powersliding through a corner in slow motion. I've driven through some amazingly bad storms and have always had great traction. Remember, the only thing that separates you from the ditch on those icy roads is those 4 small points of contact and bite that your tires give. For anyone who knows, each kind of snow can create different dangers for drivers. This tires punches through the slush and wet snow doesn't stick to the treads. On dry snow, when the temps really plunge, the rubber compounds in this tire, because it is snow-rated, do not harden and so the grip stays just as good in deep, powdery snow.

Goodyear Duratracs were told to me to have a soft sidewall. I didn't notice it on the 295/65/18s, but I did on the 325/65/18s. Control your driving since you can't control the person next to you in traffic. FYI - Since I can't go back and change this on the 295/65/18s, I did get 68000 miles out of those tires with a rotate every 6k and balance ever other rotate (12k).

The tires have been really good in all respects. Wear has been excellent considering 13,000+ miles of the 50,000 miles a camping trailer was being towed. The four year old tires are still on the truck with 25% of the tread still there. I will be changing them this spring before another season of towing the camper (due to the age of the tire). These tires were rotated about every 10,000 miles. I kept them inflated to 38 psi cold, rather than the lower pressure GM recommended on the door placard, because of the heavy load. During most of the towing the truck weight was near the GVWR.

For that price (~$650 out the door) you can't beat them for an all terrain. Performance has been great especially for what I paid. Tread life and wear have been good also. The fact that they aren't super agressive looking (very similar to hankook dynapro) is the only drawback IMO. |

I am completely happy with all aspects of these tires. They are a little bit more noisy than I thought they would be, but not loud by any means. Will definitely buy again when that time comes.
