8/4/2011 21:03:01Hyla LacefieldDigital ArtistI have been with Cañada college since January 2011. For the past ten years I have also run my own small business and worked in digital media as an artist and designer on numerous games. Although my undergraduate degree was in art, my Master's was in Anthropology, and I've always felt a love for art, learning and multiculturalism. Cañada college has really been a learning experience even as I gain teaching experience. I love bringing my practical and artistic knowledge to such a diverse and wonderful student body. Can't eat red meat or pork. Have to be careful with sun exposure (due to medication). Please let me know if I need to bring a sun hat.Having been with Cañada college for just one semester so far, I feel there is still a great deal I don't know. The more I learn, the more I truly appreciate Cañada as being a place where people of diverse ages and background come together with a single goal: to learn. So, I am sure whatever we cover is going to be fantastic!

11/29/2011 11:13:34Ken Cope2D/3D animationI'm an LA veteran of animation, a craft that demands both learning and teaching for a living, acquiring and refining new skills and techniques, while training fresh teams, at large companies and small, to work to professional standards, since the 80s. Also an early adopter of computer graphics, I participated in numerous seminars and workshops with fellow CG pioneers, championing the use of artist-friendly computer tools. I began teaching 3D tools in private colleges in the SF Bay in the late 90s. In 2011 I both earned a BA in Cinema at SFSU, and taught an introduction to animation course as an adjunct professor at California College of the Arts.I'm fortunately healthy, on no special diet.I look forward to meeting faculty and administrators and staff (especially the multimedia department), getting an introduction to the campus, learning about online tools for teaching and student support, about rubrics for evaluation of student work, operational procedures, and professional development opportunities.residualecho@gmail.com4152038380
