Honours International Scholars ProgramUp to $5,000November 2013The Honors International Scholars Program (HISP) supports second- and third-year Honors students engaging in overseas opportunities by providing 30-40 scholarships per year, ranging from $2500 to $5000. Students have used HISP funding to participate in traditional university-sponsored study abroad programs, university-to-university exchanges, intensive language-training institutes, internships, and public service projects. HISP awards are merit-based, taking into account GPA, quality of essays, and fit of the program to the student’s academic and professional goals.  The amount of each award depends upon program costs, financial need, and funds available. The majority of awards are earmarked for travel to Asia, Latin America, and Africa. Mid-Term Foundation FellowsStipend that helps cover the full estimated annual cost of attendance, plus special grants for travel-study and research.December 2013The Foundation Fellowship is UGA's most prestigious undergraduate scholarship program. It provides a stipend that helps cover the full estimated annual cost of attendance, plus special grants for travel-study and research. Foundation Fellows also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of additional enrichment activities, such as seminars with UGA and visiting faculty. Every year, two to four Mid-Term Fellowships are awarded to UGA Honors students who have a minimum 3.85 cumulative GPA and two years of study remaining at UGA. Crane Leadership Scholars$1,000 August 2014This program is jointly administered by the Honors Program and the Center for Leadership and Service and awards up to ten $1,000 scholarships to third-year Honors students with exemplary leadership records on campus and/or in the local community.
