The usual made unusual. After the war… Dumbledore and Snape were not killed. Dumbledore had a golem (or whatever) made to die for him while they worked on the curse. His curse is “cured-ish,” but as with all curses has left an unsightly scar. Snape was put into a magically induced coma. Harry, I guess, can be mad at Dumbledore for not letting him in on the secrets, and worried that Dumbledore’s curse could somehow be linked to the xxx things that are going on. Hermione, xxx, Longbottom (more confidence but not a new person), and Malfoy are helping Madam Pomfrey and Professor Sprout with Snape’s treatment. There was a bit of a “to do” about how full Mungo’s was, and how it was taking too much of their resources to cure him. Draco is not head boy, but you might want to have the “old seventh years” have a combined dorm. These aren’t set in stone, and you may change it up.

No one ever said war would be easy and, hell, you’d have to be pretty dumb to think it would be, but then why didn’t anyone ever say that peacetime would be so difficult?
People are trying to move on with their lives after The Final Battle, which is easier said than done for the students of Hogwarts. Many have returned for their 8th year, willingly or not, and every student, teacher, ghost, creature and being at the school must work together to build bridges between the houses and move on from the war. 		AnyScat, watersports, mpregFic or drabble setWhilst I’ve mentioned 8th years, I’d love to see younger and older characters as well. Feel free to develop characters who we know very little about, perhaps even ones we just know the names of, as well as main characters. This could be a collection of snippets from people’s lives in the year after the battle, or read more like a book, but I’d prefer a large cast of characters rather than focussing on just one pairing. I’d also like to see people from more than just Slytherin and Gryffindor having to work to forgive each other and perhaps become friends (or more if you want). Eg. perhaps Susan Bones feels that it’s her fault that Colin died and tries to make it up to Dennis. Does someone confront Hagrid about the acromantula? Not everyone will have done things they were proud of during the war, and conflicts may have arisen in Dumbledore’s Army. (These are just some ideas, take them or leave them as you please). Feel free to include dark themes, although I would prefer a happy ending.
