Hey guys,
I am currently doing a Mechanical Engineering degree and I am in my 2nd year. We have been tasked with a concept design and CAD model development of a cordless hand tool that would be used in the DIY or garden market.
I just wanted to see how some gardening enthusiasts may react to my idea.
My tool would be able to create outlines in hedges, about 5-10cm in depth and around 10cm wide. For example, you will be able to carve out your house's number or your initials or maybe a picture or anything you may want. Then flexible (and cheap!) plastic tubing will be used to fill those gaps to add a cool colour scheme. It will have a runtime of around 50 mins, 2-3 hour recharge time. It would be able to do around 50 metres of hedge outline in one charge!
Just note that it has to be cordless, so thats why the price is a bit high. I would be very happy if you could answer the following 2 questions!
