EDMBoston.com has quickly become Boston's Source for electronic dance music and works tirelessly to keep the Boston community abreast of whats happening. We need SELF STARTERS to join our team, learn, and grow into a role with the blog.
As an intern you will work directly with Maxwell, the creator of EDMBoston, on all projects. The job will have you writing one editorial blog post a week in addition to one editorial article each week. The editorial article MAY consist of a show review after you pass a probationary period. You will be expected to attend meetings once a week via google hangout. In addition you will help out on promotion work, site maintenance, client communications, and anything else that needs to be done. We work with a startup mentality and everyone is expected to be a contributing member in all facets of the site. if your only interested in attending shows. WE DON'T WANT YOU!
The type of candidate we are looking for is someone that possess:
-Hunger to learn
-Top Notch creative writing skills(journalism or english majors preferred but not required)
-Technology savy
-Superior knowledge of Electronic Music
-Youtube video Processing & watermark
-Basic HTML code skills.
-Punctuality
-Wordpress experience a plus
-Knowledge of google drive and hangout
Most importantly you should be pationate about EDM!
What will you get out of the program? An opportunity to understand the EDM blogging business and contribute to it in a meaningful way to the electronic music scene in Boston. You will be responsible for a deliverable project at the end of your internship, that demonstrates your contribution to EDMBoston and how you've grown. An example of a project is, an EBook on a topic of your choosing. Within the first week of the program you will be responsible for coming up with the idea and submitting it for approval.
At the end of the internship you will receive a formal evaluation.
