International Deferral Request Form

This form is used for international students in order to request a deferral to the next semester.

IMPORTANT:

Undergraduate Level Students: This will initiate the deferral of your admission to the semester requested below. If the semester you wish to attend is one year or more away from your first application to ISU, then you do not qualify for a deferral and will have to re-aply to ISU by completing a new application at apply.isu.edu. If an I-20 was issued to you, your SEVIS record will also be deferred.

Graduate Level Students (Masters and Doctorate): This will ONLY initiate the deferral of your SEVIS record if an I-20 was issued to you. This will NOT initiate the deferral of your admission! For deferral of your admission you must contact the Graduate School at gradschool@isu.edu. Requests to defer will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
