Nominate someone for an alumni award
This nomination form is to submit names for annual alumni awards. In order to be eligible for the Distinguished Alumnus Award, there must be three letters of support for the nomination, all from UAF graduates or former students. The nomination should include information on the candidate's life achievements. 

Nominations and supporting documents are submitted to the Alumni office. Please complete and submit the form so we may do preliminary validation of eligibility. Absence of this nomination form WILL NOT in itself eliminate nominees.

Please make sure official nomination supporting statements are received by our office no later than NOVEMBER 28, 2025 for the 2026 awards. The Distinguished Alumnus Award
The Distinguished Alumnus Award is the association's most prestigious award. It was first awarded in 1962 and continues to annually recognize living graduates of UAF. Alumnus/alumna are selected for the award based on specific meritorious service on behalf of the quality and advancement of UAF; distinguished accomplishments in business and professional life; and/or distinguished human service in community affairs. The nomination should include information on the candidate's life achievements.

The William R. Cashen Service Award
William R. "Bill" Cashen '37 was a former alumni director, professor, and marshal emeritus, historian, public servant, family man, proud alumnus and friend to many Alumni. Cashen set the example for service to the university and its alumni association. This award is designed to recognize and perpetuate his example and inspire all those associated with the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

Eligibility: Alumni and non alumni qualify for the award. Only employees of the UAF Alumni Association are excluded.
