Temple of the Silver Star (INITIATORY TRACK):  Application for Initiation
I, the undersigned, hereby request membership in the INITIATORY TRACK of the TEMPLE OF THE SILVER STAR. I understand that membership in the INITIATORY TRACK of the TEMPLE OF THE SILVER STAR is only by invitation. If I am invited to initiation, and if I then declare my intent to proceed, then I promise to persevere with courage and modesty through the ceremony of my admission.  In making this application, I undertake of my own free will a solemn Vow of Silence, not to discuss with any person that I am making this application or being considered for membership. (The only exception is my spouse or mate. The Vow of Silence applies even to those persons whom I may know to be initiates of TOTSS, as well as any posts, comments, and other social media communications.) This Vow of Silence is lifted once I am initiated, or if my application is declined.

PLEASE NOTE:  Fluency in written and spoken English is required. At the present time, most initiations and advancements are performed in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K.  Please consider the feasibility of travel before submitting your application.

What are we looking for in applicants?

While our curriculum does begin at an introductory level, we find that most successful applicants to the Temple of the Silver Star have at minimum been studying the work of Crowley and other authors of the Western Ceremonial tradition for at least one to two years. Many of our applicants have engaged in some degree of exploration of Tarot, astrology, meditation or Qabalah as well.

It is simply a recognition that it would very likely be problematic to be working two similar systems simultaneously. For example, imagine the potential confusion in an initiate’s magical training process if they were in two different degrees at the same time. We want our teachings to help you, not harm you. Members living within a 2.5 hour distance of a Temple or Pronaos are required to attend its monthly meetings. If a group now exists, or is later established, within this distance from you,  would you be able to attend monthly? If not, please explain below. *
If your initial application is approved, you will be invited to an interview with the leadership team of a Temple or Pronaos as the next stage of the application process. (NOTE: Invitation to an interview does not signify final approval of your application.) Interviews may be in person or via webcam, depending on your location.
