A European qualification framework for practice and training in Animal Mediated Assistance and Therapy (AMAT) and Animal Assisted Activities(AAA).
This form enables us to make the framework of quality standards of all partner organizations in this LDV-project. As we intended it to be at the first meeting.

The organizations joining in this project are working with AMAT/AAA which means they support people with disabilities in physical, psychological, mental or social order. Working within the
educational, social, therapeutic or rehabilitative field we complement and deepen the medical, paramedical and educative interventions in a very efficient way. The partner project aims on a guaranteed level of identical interventions of quality within different fields an functions in AMAT/AAA in the EU. This can only be realized by conforming training programs to a well defined levels of quality and competences that we will research and develop within this project.

This will result in a system of quality and security guaranties for the clients or customers in the EU.

Our objectives are to build a multi-dimensional framework of contents, legal and organizational aspects of quality criteria . So we will also assist mental health organizations by giving them tools to compare different forms and competences in Animal Mediated Assistance (AMAT) or Animal Assisted Activities in the different European countries.

The first step is to compare our own definitions, qualification and quality standards of all involved partner orgnizations in order to produce a code of good practice on basis of this framework.

You can fill in this form till January 15th 2012. After that the results will be gathered and prepared for the 5th partner meeting in Belgium.

Thank you,
