Why do you want to be a part of High Cloud’s 2012 Team? *
A. “Ambassador” Skills: What skills or experience do you have that might enable you to promote High Cloud effectively? *
The High Cloud 2012 Athletic Team will be made up of people with a wide variety of skill sets that are willing and able to contribute to the Foundation’s overarching humanitarian objectives to help children living in poverty here in the US and around the world. High Cloud achieves this goal by raising awareness about its activities and expanding its network of ambassadors/contributors, fundraising efforts as well as implementing national and international projects.  What unique talents would you bring to the Foundation?  Examples: project management, leadership skills, accounting/finance, fundraising, event planning, race planning/management, networking, marketing, outreach (i.e. to potential sponsors), etc.
B. Fundraising and/or Project Management/logistics Skills: What skills/experience do you have that might enable you to help plan High Cloud events to fundraise? *
C. What other skill sets do you possess that would be useful to the High Cloud Athletic Team and the Foundation as a whole? *
Are you interested in participating in and/or organizing international travel missions and races? Do you have any experience in this area? (Note: this is not a requirement) *
Please list any club and team affiliations: *
Do you hold an official position in any of these organizations? *
Do you currently maintain a blog? How comfortable are you with social networking sites (twitter, facebook, etc) Please describe. *
If you were selected to be a part of High Cloud’s Team, would you be willing to write on the team/Foundation blog (i.e. race reports, tips etc)? *
In what ways can/will you help to promote our sponsors as a member of the Team? *
Member contract
High Cloud Team Member Contract. Final candidates for the Team will be asked to develop a contract with High Cloud outlining their contributions to the Team and the organization as a whole, as well as the benefits that they will receive in return from High Cloud. We will work with you on this process, but we ask you now to think about what additional elements you might want to include in the contract and let us know so that we can accommodate any additional sponsors or Team/Club commitments that you may have in 2012.  Again, we will work with you to develop a contract that capitalizes on your strengths and abilities and is within your means. (i.e. Commitment to certain number of hours volunteering and type, such as being an Ambassador at expos, key meetings with sponsors, organizing the High Cloud Snapple Half Marathon in January, organizing a social/athletic event, leading a project/trip, etc).
How do you feel about fundraising? *
High Cloud Team Members will also be required to keep a fundraising page and do their best to fundraise for the organization. As we recognize that this is not everyone’s strength, we do not mandate a minimum amount; rather, we will work with you to hone in on these strengths in designing your contract. You can just select a target race and ask your friends to donate. Any proceeds will make a difference and you can choose the program that your fundraising efforts will benefit. Again, we do not mandate a minimum amount, in-kind fundraising is also welcome (i.e. collecting shoes, school supplies, clothes, etc)
Athletic Experience and Goals
How would you rate yourself on this scale (from 1 to 10) and what do you hope to get out of the team in terms of your own personal and athletic development? *
The High Cloud 2012 Athletic Team will be comprised of a wide variety of athletes including pro, elite, experienced, not-so-experienced, and completely inexperienced athletes. We hope that by bringing such a diverse group together we can grow together and learn from each other. New athletes will have the opportunity to learn from the best of the best and experienced athletes will continue to grow and learn from each other.
Do you currently have any sponsors?* *
(we accommodate existing sponsorship if possible): *This is not a limiting factor for candidacy
Please list your top race highlights of the past 3 years: *
Challenge Goal: *
High Cloud Athletes are encouraged to push the limits and truly “Reach for the Clouds,” and we do this by working together and supporting each other. Do you have a particular challenge where you will be stepping outside of your comfort zone and try something new for the first time? (i.e. first Half Marathon, Marathon, Ultra-Marathons, Half-Ironman, full distance Ironman, Xterra triathlons, etc.) Please describe.
Please list any relevant athletic accomplishments. (i.e.  USAT All American, Kona qualifier, age group awards, athletic/mentoring recognitions, etc.): *
The High Cloud Team will be developing its 2012 race schedule together and will mandate to race or sherpa  a minimum of 5 of the listed events. Are there any races that you are already planning on participating in for 2012? Please provide details and whether or not you are registered already. *
